Cranks

Cranks come in a variety of crank arm lengths and it is important to choose the right one.  A longer crank length has more leverage but will require more force to rotate.  The crank length is usually stamped on the back of your crank arm.  Cranks also come in a variety of chainring selections.  A lower tooth count will be easier to push and require less power, and is more conducive to climbing, but will also produce less power.  Cranks come in single, double, and triple rings allowing greater selection of gears.
