The BSA, or English threaded, bottom bracket is a traditional shell size. It has an inner diameter of 34mm and is 68mm wide. These cups thread into the BSA shell making it possible to install SRAM and Quarq 24/22mm spindle cranks.

The CeramicSpeed kit comes with bearings pressed into threaded cups, which are then threaded into the frame. Those bearings consist of either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings. Super smooth, super round CeramicSpeed balls are rotating in hardened-steel races in both. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in longer life and lower drag.

The cups come with bearings installed and a sleeve is included to further seal the system from the elements and from rubbing on internal cables.

The Standard Bearings have only 0.3-.04 watts of frictional drag per set, an average drag reduction of 75% compared to stock bottom brackets. This is the result of superior design including hardened-steel races, and ceramic balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. They also last 3x longer.

Coated Bearings last even longer and feature even lower drag. Life is boosted by 60% and drag plummets by 50% compared to our Standard.

All Round Grease is used in the bearings. It can be replaced for lower drag TT and Track Grease, or higher durability LongLife Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in when riding through messy conditions.
