When choosing a front light consider if you will be riding in daylight conditions to make yourself more visible, complete darkness, road or trail. A trail light will require more power/lumens and a wider beam to facilitate you seeing obstacles. You will also need a more powerful light (headlight) if riding in the dark vs a light for increased daylight visibility. Other features to look for are USB rechargeable, waterproof, battery indicator, and multiple modes.
