PF30 MTB standard shares a shell diameter, 46mm, with the road version, but has a wider shell, 73mm. It was introduced to give frame builders more design flexibility. This parcel helps you to mate your Quarq and SRAM cranks with a PF30 MTB frame.
The set has two cups installed with CeramicSpeed bearings. There is both a Standard and Coated version. Both feature hardened-steel races and super smooth CeramicSpeed balls. The Coated have an additional benefit: a 3-micron thick metallic layer over the races. This addition makes the races harder and smoother, lowering drag and increasing life.
