Brady began found his love of triathlon in 2006 building upon his competitive cycling background. He pursued road cycling for three years prior, winning several races including a junior state championship. He has found similar success as a triathlete, and won the top overall age grouper in the 2011 South Carolina Triathlon Series, achieved a 3rd in age group at Sprint Nationals in 2010, and has won several races overall thus far, including the Rock N Rollman Sprint and Tri Rock Clearwater. Brady has also competed in several draft legal races at the junior and collegiate level.
Brady started coaching in 2008 at Swim Macon, and as Head Age Group Coach he produced an age group state champion. He was the varsity swim coach at Startford Academy. Brady served as team President while an undergraduate, and was instrumental in building their collegiate program. He also interned at The Sport Factory for two summers during his undergrad.
Brady is American Swimming Coaches Association Level 2 certified, USA Cycling Level 3, USA Triathlon Level 1, NSCA certified, and has a BS from Clemson University in Entrepreneurial Management with a minor in Athletic Leadership. He has a passion for learning, combined with competitive experience and practical knowledge that are the cornerstones of great coaching.
Brady enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities that have a passion and an objective; no matter how big or small. He understands how a good coach can greatly impact an athletic career, and save the athlete from injury. Brady believes that through good communication, consistency, and smart training and athlete can accelerate their progress and achieve new levels of performance they did not know were possible.
