Running Form Video Analysis

Improving running economy can be very difficult as it requires expert analysis and a dedicated effort

"Running should be like flying with your feet briefly touching the ground."

Improving running economy can be very difficult as it requires expert analysis and a dedicated effort, however improving fitness can only take you so far.  Attempting to apply more fitness to poor economy eventually leads to a plateau that cannot be overcome without changes in form; and it reinforces bad form.  Coach Matt Russ has worked with hundreds of runners up to the professional level with over two decades of experience.  Many of his young athletes have achieved college scholarship level competition and some have gone on to professional competition.  He has authored many published articles on running form and economy as well as videos

"Matt,
About 6-8 weeks ago, you worked with me for a session on my running form. Great results - I dropped a minute per mile off my 12 mile runs, and held the same pace for a 16 mile run."

We use advanced software to capture, analyze, correct, and practice a runners' form.  Generally 1-2 aspects of a runners' form are addressed per session.  Drills are prescribed to improve economy and athlete receives narrated and annotated videos of each session for future observation and comparison.

"I wanted to let you know how much the run analysis has helped just in the short time I have been using better technique.  I did a 5k race a few weeks ago, and set a new PR by almost 2 1/2 minutes.  Went from 23:30 to 21:08.  Looking forward to see what time I can hit in my next race in a few weeks.  Thanks."
